The Legal500’s Comparative Guide for Product Liability is released
When I started my legal career, the law firm I served as a legal apprentice mainly dealt with direct investments, capital markets and contracts laws. Starting from year 2002, I represent various German and American automotive OEM’s, tier one automotive suppliers and FMCG companies with a strong focus on consumer protection, product safety and liability.
After moving in-house a prominent automotive manufacturer in year 2006, the weight of product safety and eliminating the risks of product liability in my legal responsibilities never faded. Just the contrary, it was forged due to my additional roles in compliance, R&D, investments and lobbying.
I am now 25 years in legal profession and since almost 8 years back on the external legal support side, and I still feel obliged to contribute in ethical business, sustainability and corporate social responsibility more than before. For this purpose, since the last few years I am trying to be far more active in helping legal professionals and corporates in especially those fields.
This year, I have contributed for Legal 500’s product liability comparative guide for its Turkish chapter. More to come in the following weeks.
The guide starts with the legal texts regulating the product liability and gives insights on product liability, product safety, recalls, market survelliance and product liability litigation.
I hope my contributions will help the manufacturing sector and the legal community in an increased path in sustainability and product safety.
